“Opaque ruby. Black cherry, pipe tobacco and minerals on the highly perfumed nose. Dense but juicy and sharply delineated, with a firm spine of acidity lifting the sappy dark berry flavors. Finishes with subtle smokiness, firm but harmonious tannins and terrific length. This wine reminded me a lot of a high-class Pessac-Leognan.”
